Professional killers are not whole species. Dread doppelgangers and all fellow generic creatures fail to meet the requirements of this category. Professional killers are either named individuals or are categories of such individuals, who have made something of a habit out of taking lives of at least some note. Both Nazaris Verret and most mariticides, having taken but a life, fail to qualify. Professional killers have found a career, an occupation, or a vocation in repeatedly taking lives of at least some note. Radjiff Chandor and executioners are professional killers. Lives of at least some note are either those of NPCs or of generic creatures which in the circumstances of their deaths pose at least some danger to their killers. Ivana Boritsi as a repeat mariticide, a fratricide and a parricide as well as serial killers meet the requirements. Assassins, mercenaries, soldiers, and big game hunters are likewise professional killers. Such are the difficulties of an adventurous life that it is easy to become a professional killer.
