André Duvet (NPC)

Andre Duvet is a gendarmerie captain in Port-a-Lucine who secretly leads the Scions of Purity, a secret society of murderous vigilantes that target homeless beggars exclusively. Duvet blames the local outbreaks of the plague on the beggars and wishes to purify Dementlieu of them.

The authorities have become concerned with the frequency of murders and called for an investigation of the killings. Duvet has taken over the investigation. However, Jacques Mournier and several of his closest subordinates have also become involved in the organization, much to Duvet's chagrin.

Duvet will not call for the death of children under the age of 10; instead he orders his Scions to sedate them with a herbal concoction and ship them off to orphanages across the country.

Duvet has failed two Powers Checks, giving him the power to inflict pain with a gaze and detect the impoverished via smell. However, he has a deformity: his eyes shine back light as a cat's in the dark. When not on the hunt with his men, he wears darkened glasses.
