Anibal Coronado is the darklord of Cumbre de Oro. In life he was a mercenary captain from the Holy Empire who doomed many to get to the wealth of Cumbre de Oro and claim it for himself. He doomed many of the native people in Mictlan, doomed many of his own men, and even doomed himself. Weakened and dying from his misfortune in the trek, Coronado cursed the gods and called for some dark power to save him from losing his wealth. The Dark Powers granted his wish and made him the darklord of Cumbre de Oro, transforming him into a unique undead monster.[1]
Coranado commands a force of avaricios and other undead, but he is eternally at war with Maxaantii, the dead emperor whose rest Coranado's theft disturbed. Maxaanti himself commands a network of mummies and greater mummies.[2] Coronado is also consumed by the eternally worry that somewhere somebody is taking some part of his treasure. He patrols endlessly to combat this possibility.[3]
