A priest is a member of the clergy of religion. He is a believer, is one of the faithful, is a worshiper of his god, is a follower of the teachings of that god, and is a spiritual guide to others. A priest may be, but not necessarily is, a cleric or a cloister cleric. A priest may just as well be a commoner, an expert, a warrior, a fighter, an aristocrat, or an adept. A paladin could be a priest of Ezra in service of the Mordentish Sect. A blackguard or an assassin could be a priest of Erlin. A druid is effectively a priest of nature. A ranger could be a priest of nature or of the Wolf God. An arcane spellcaster could be a priest of Hala or of Mytteri. A monk could be a priest of the Church of the Divinity of Mankind.
