Mina Invich

Mina Invich is the widow of Boyar Invich and runs Invich Orphanage out of his old residence. She is assisted Gramma Imix, a bruja and fellow cleric of Hala, along with Hector and Florita, two hired-on servants. When in public with Mina, Imix pretends to be her sister Monycia. Florita and Hector are the only two besides Mina to have knowledge of Monycia's true identity.

Mina was once an Invidian noble who was married off to a Barovian nobleman of modest means. Before she met Imix, she was a spoiled and selfish young woman whose demands could hardly be met. In 736 BC, Imix, under the guise of a midwife, sought shelter at the Invich estate. However, Mina rejected her pleas and sent her away. Soon thereafter, Magravelle, an evil hag and enemy of Imix, made her way into the manor, (wrongfully) assuming Imix had received shelter there. The hag managed to kill the boyar and maim Mina before being ultimately destroyed by Imix. Imix healed Mina, but her face remained scarred.

Despite her deformity, Mina seems to have come out as a better person for the experience. She became much less self-centered and established the orphanage in and around the old home of her dead husband. She has also become a cleric of Hala. Unfortunately, like Imix, she thinks the wards under her care are protected from Magravelle's telepathic influence.
