Komozundu

Komozundu is the darklord of Mubonyete. A clerical lich, Komonzundu mistakenly believes that the "power that comes from within" is a life energy that can be stolen. He sits in his Bone Citadel endlessly studying corpses and cadavers his minions, the bring him from all over Mubonyete. However, he is cursed to never find the answers to his questions of the true inner power or higher transcendence.

Once a priest of the Keepers of the Brass Gazelle, Komozundu became confused by the mysteries of the saying, "the power of the land lies within one's lifeblood." Manipulated by some dark entity, Komozundu hatched a plan to murder the Brass Gazelle, the object of his order's worship. Komozundu set a trap and then decapitated the Gazelle. As he held the head aloft, Komozundu experienced great and ultimate truths. But Komozundu could not enjoy them for long, for another of the Keepers spied his treachery and impaled him upon a spear. After his body was abandoned in the wilderness, he arose as one of the undead, vengeful for the loss of his life but more for the loss of all the knowledge he had gained. Using stealth and guile, Komozundu stalked the rest of the Keepers and stabbed them all to death. Following this mass murder, Komozundu stored his life essence in the Head of the Brass Gazelle, transforming himself into a lich.
