Chronology
- 551 BC[1][2] For his horrible crimes against his god Ra and against his own people, the apostate Ankhtepot is killed and mummified. The process drives Ankhtepot out of his right mind just as the Mists swallow him up and make him darklord of a land much too small for him.[3][4] Har'Akir forms as an Island of Terror.[1][5][6]
- 564 BC[1][2] After Tiyet commits suicide to escape her fate, Zordenahkt perform a ritual to transform her into one of the ancient dead. He then consumes poison and dies next to her. Tiyet later awakens and is compelled by hunger and the sound of his heartbeat to kill Khamose and devour his heart. The Mists transport Tiyet to Ravenloft, far from her original kingdom and time, where she becomes the lord of the lonely domain of Sebua.[7]
574 BC In Sebua, grave robbers drill a tunnel into Sephren's Pyramid. They accidentally set off a trap that unleashed swarms of grave scarab beetles, resulting in all of the robbers' deaths.[8]
- 590 BC[1][5][6] After a crusade of terror and genocide, Diamabel is felled by an arrow. He perishes but revives again in an angelic form. Only by night does he notice his curse as he assumes a rotting, undead visage.[9][10] He becomes a darklord, and Pharazia takes shape around him.[1][5][6]
- 725 BC Isu Rehkotep discovers a scroll which details the rites to animate one of the Children of Anhktepot. She attempts to destroy the scroll, but it will not burn. Although she hides it away, the knowledge of its existence slowly corrupts her. [12][13]
- 727 BC The Seekers of the Seven Scarabs cult is broken up by Jameld of Hroth and Rudolph van Richten.[14]
730 BC Jasper Molon, an explorer and tomb robber from Martira Bay, and his wife Bahri, a native of Har'Akir, make their final trip of exploration to Sebua. They encounter and defeat an ancient dead of immense power and stumble upon an ancient tomb holding a scroll held sacred by the Cult of Khepri.[15]
735 BC Between now and their trip to Sebua, Jasper Molon and Bahri have retired to Martira Bay and begun a small cult to Khepri there. Jasper sets up a shop called Molon's Curiosities.[15]
- 738 BC Isu Rehkotep, now converted to the worship of Set, raises the traitorous priest Senmet as one of the living dead. Together, they begin a plot to take control of Har’Akir.[12][16]
- 738 BC Senmet recruits the werejackal priests of Anubis to aid him in his plans to usurp control of Har’Akir. However, that very night a mysterious fire wipes out the entire priesthood, except for the young Abu al Mir. Abu flees, and the Mists transport him to Nova Vaasa.[11]
- 738 BC Senmet’s plot to overthrow Anhktepot is foiled; Ankhtepot’s 7th awakening. The third verse of Hyskosa’s Hexad is fulfilled. Senmet survives the failure and flees into the Mists.[12][17][18]
740 BC Late Year - Members of the Green Hand discover the tunnel entrance to Sephren's Pyramid which some grave robbers made long ago (see 574 BC). They reseal it without a second thought.[19]
- 746 BC The Amber Wastes cluster forms when Har'Akir, Sebua, and Pharazia fuse together into one landmass.[12][20][21]
