Set

Set is an evil deity belonging to the the Akiri Pantheon. He is the brother of Isis and Osiris and the uncle of Horus. In Akiri religion and mythology, Set killed Osiris. Horus attempted to avenge this murder but failed. Fortunately, Isis and Nephythys restored him to existence. Set's enemies include Horus, Osiris,[1], and Bast.[2]
His worshipers constitute the Cult of Set. His followers must usually meet in secret, for their cult is a hated one. Set's faithful often infiltrate churches of his enemies and try to eat away at them from within by slowly corrupting and redirecting all religious activity to follow the Cult of Set. Isu Rehkotep of Muhar was one such example, posing as a cleric of Osiris and slowly warping the faith of the people to convert to Set's worship.[3] His cult may still live on as it was in Muhar even after Isu's defeat because many of the religious activities performed by her successor Snefru are more in line with the Cult of Set than the Cult of Osiris.[4]

Chronology
725 BC In Har’Akir, Isu Rehkotep (a young priestess of Osiris) discovers a hidden, ancient scroll which details the foul rites to animate one of the Children of Anhktepot. Horrified, she attempts to destroy the scroll, but it will not burn. She hides it away, but the knowledge of its existence slowly corrupts her.[7][8]
738 BC Isu Rehkotep, now converted to the worship of Set, raises the traitorous priest Senmet as one of the living dead. Together, they begin a plot to take control of Har’Akir. [9][10]
738 BC Senmet recruits the werejackal priests of Anubis to aid him in his plans to usurp control of Har’Akir. However, that very night, a mysterious fire wipes out the entire priesthood, except for the young Abu al Mir. Abu flees, and the Mists transport him to Nova Vaasa.[11]
738 BC Senmet’s plot to overthrow Anhktepot is foiled; Ankhtepot’s 7th awakening. The third verse of Hyskosa’s Hexad is fulfilled. Senmet survives the failure and flees into the Mists. (Touch of Death). [12][13][14]
739 BC In the wake of Isu’s death during Senmet’s coup attempt, another woman takes Isu’s place as high priestess of Osiris: Snefru. Like Isu, Snefru is secretly truly a servant of Set. [15]
