The necrologist studies undeath and the Undead. All necromancers are, to some degree, necrologists. Necrologists are not necessarily necromancers however. The necrologist's knowledge of the necromancer's stock and trade, however, can make necromancy an all too tempting path for those well-versed in necrology. All intelligent undead are also, to some degree necrologists, or at very least should have knowledge (religion) as a class skill.
