In 641 BC on the orders of his father Nharov Gundar, Medraut tortured and cursed the Morts-Qui-Dancent with a unique form of undeath that demands them to make routine performances or else have their energy drain away. This was done as punishment for refusing to act as Duke Gundar's spies.[2]
