The Restless Dead represent one of the potentially most powerful kinds of the Walking Dead, for they following a Craving not necessarily at odds with their native psychologies they had while living. The Restless Dead exist to fulfill a certain purpose that went unresolved in their lifetime. This purpose may well be vengeance, which may vary in specificity from against one person (like a revenant seeking out its murderer) to a general, jealous loathing of the living.[1]
