Vito Romenza is a Vistani and only surviving member of the Romenza family. The rest of the Romenzas were killed by some fleeing survivors of the Ebon Fold after their defeat in Lekar.[1]
Vito is a skilled lockpicker, herbalist,[2] and animal trainer)[3]. In addition, he is skilled at reading the Tarokka Deck to predict the future.,[4] In addition to this common Vistani divination, Vito has a rarer form, to track the general direction of the owner of an object in hand by the owner's association with the held object. He does this by spinning the object around on a string.[5]
Vito's monkey companion Tickle accompanies him at all times.,[6]

Possible Complication
Vito is a male Vistani with the power of Foresight; this would make him one of the Dukkar. Because one of the Dukkar in prophecy dooms the Vistani people, they are normally put to death. However, Death Ascendant makes no mention of why Vito was spared. However, it is mentioned that Vito was orphaned
perhaps before his abilities of divination made themselves known and he was raised by his aunt Sophia Romenza,[8], perhaps as an act of pity or mercy. On the other hand, perhaps the whole of his family were especially merciful.
