Path of the Ermine

The Path of Corruption followed by the Krynnish Dark Elf Arcael.

• 1. Royal robe: Arcael can invoke Endure elements as a spell-like ability once a day.

• • When Arcael invokes this power, her skin sprouts a layer of smooth fur, whose colour corresponds to the season and her environment at the time. (White in cold climes, gold in warm deserts, etc.) She gains OR +1 when the power is in use. In addition, she must consume one ounce of raw, bloody meat each day or else she starts to suffer the effects of starvation.
• 2. Sharptooth: (current stage) Arcael gains a bite attack.
  • Whenever Arcael uses her bite attack, her eyes become round and dark like those of a marten, giving her OR +1, cumulative with any other effects that grant OR. In addition, she must now consume two ounces of raw, bloody meat each day or begin to suffer the effects of starvation.

* 3. Untouchable Royalty: Arcael gains a bonus to Dexterity and Escape artist becomes a class skill for her.

• • Arcael's body becomes unnaturally limber and slender, even for an Elf. Her movements are subtly disturbing to observers. She gains OR +1, cumulative with other increases to OR. She must now consume three ounces of raw, bloody meat each day or suffer the effects of starvation.

• 4. Blood Frenzy: Twice a day, Arcael can use Rage on herself as a spell-like ability whenever she draws blood or has been wounded in battle. Her caster level equals her effective character level.
  • Arcael's teeth permanently change to resemble a marten's. She gains another +1 to OR, cumulative with other modifiers. She can now only digest raw meat; other foods sicken her.

• 5. The Royal Road: Whenever Arcael activates her Royal Robe-ability, she gains Terrain stride for any natural environment she finds herself in, and a bonus to Stealth / Hide and Move silently.
  • Whenever Arcael sees raw meat, fresh blood, or an open wound, she must make a Will save to stop herself from trying to tear into the flesh and consume it.

• 6. Lineage of the Beast Royal: Arcael has become a natural lycanthrope with the ermine as an animal influence. She gains Improved control shape as a bonus feat and may infect other creatures and determine their trigger for transformation. Any children she bears will be natural lycanthropes like her.
  • Arcael's base form is now her hybrid state between elf and ermine. She can remain a hybrid or an animal indefinitely, but must make Control shape checks to maintain her elven form every hour. There is always at least one aspect of the beast she cannot suppress.
