Donani is a 17-year-old Vistani and one of the Bogarav family. He is the brother of Annika, the son of Captain Elias, and the nephew of Sergenna. The disappearance of his betrothed, Lela filled him with great anxiety. He assumed that Lela has run off with Hanzi, a mortu that had been tried to seduce her.[1] The truth is far worse, she was enthralled by a vampire and turned into a vampire spawn.[2]
