A peasant is titleless as opposed to a noble who is titled. Peasants do not belong to the same social class as nobles. Peasants do not have the culture and cosmopolitanism of nobles, and have very little scope to improve their lot in life. Typically, peasants do not live under the same laws as nobles. Nobles are born to rule peasants. Peasants subsists as lowly worker in agriculture or cottage industries, often within a feudal or neo-feudal regime.
