Fleshcrafting treats the body as a malleable substance both in terms of its anatomy and its physiology. Unlike a polymorph spell however, the results of fleshcrafting are not fleeting. They are usually irreversible, at least in the absence of further fleshcrafting. The means of fleshcrafting are many but can be divided between those that belong to the tradition of real world science and those that are alien to. The first is bio-engineering, the second is biomancy. Dr. Frantisek Markov is premier fleshcrafter among the bio-engineers. The illithids of Bluetspur are the premier fleshcrafteres among the biomancers.
