Aradnia Redtree is a minor character from the Ravenloft product line novel Dance of the Dead (Novel). She is the daughter of Gelaar Redtree and was formerly held prisoner by Captain Raoul Dumont.
Biography
Aradnia is a young Darkonian elf, the daughter of the illusionist Gelaar Redtree and the niece of Baron Tahlyn Redtree. Before the start of DotD, Aradnia disappeared, having seemingly ran off with a Mordentish mercenary and leaving her father in a state of depression.[1] In truth, she was imprisoned within tthe Mists by Captain Raoul Dumont using a magic item. After Gelaar discovered Dumont's treachery, the captain held Aradnia hostage and only allowed him to see his daughter in brief spurts. During these short times, Gelaar performed magic tricks for Aradnia to assuage her loneliness.[2]
Later, Gelaar and Larissa Snowmane freed Aradnia from her imprisonment with the help of Skreesha's knowledge.[3] At the end, Gelaar and Aradnia agree to stay on and work for Snowmane on the newly renamed River Dancer.[4]
