Umaira al-Mourad is the granddaughter of Fayaad al-Mourad, the current Seneschal of the Gleaming Hall. Like most of the House of Mourad, she aids her grandfather in his duties, which has put her into contact with Naadir, the Seneschal of the Darkest Tower. She has fallen for the doomed young man.[1]
Umaira is strong-willed but quiet. She may yet convince Naadir to run away with her.[1]
