Fayaad al-Mourad has served as Seneschal of the Gleaming Hall for almost twenty years. He has grown skilled at his foremost duty, which is distracting Diamabel from impetuous (or, worse yet, wrathful) behavior.[1]
Fayaad has also taken upon himself to make each Seneschal of the Darkest Tower as comfortable as possible during his or her brief tenure. Despite knowing better, Fayaad has allowed himself to grow fond of Naadir, who has survived as Seneschal of the Darkest Tower for an astounding six months.[1]
