Nikolai Melentha is a third magnitude ghost of a young, battered boy who haunts the city of Port-a-Lucine in the domain of Dementlieu.[1]
Background
Nikolai was the older sibling of a family living in the poorer parts of Port-a-Lucine. His father was a drunkard who bullied and battered his family constantly. One evening, Nikolai defied him, threatening to kill him if the old man struck his younger sister again. Drunk and enraged, he beat Nikolai so badly that it killed the boy. His last words were a curse and promise to kill his father. Some time later, he returned as a ghost and did exactly that. He moved on, using his new-found power to punish those that he perceived as tormentors.[1]
Nikolai's sense of justice and vengeance has become warped in his transformation to unlife, and can become a dangerous nuisance. While in his mind he means well, sometimes his actions can bring harm to the very people he is trying to defend.[1]
