Lung Ma

Lung Ma was a martial artist from Shiyuan (a town in Xi'anlin). He and Lai Niangxue were lovers. However, he was called away to war against barbarian hordes. Lai Niangxue waited for him to return with unceasing devotion (perhaps even obsession), even after receiving word he had been shot dead by an arrow. Her waiting ultimately took her life. Lai Niangxue lingers on as a ghost, watching for anyone who looks anything like Lung Ma to this very day. In truth, Lungma is deceased, but if his bones can be returned to her, Lai Niangxue may rest in peace at last.
