Ferdous al-Jabara became the Sheikh of the House of Jabara after his father Vahid suffered a fatal mishap in the company of Emir Talaal el-Khatib. Ferdous felt that a token measure of retribution was due, and he attempted to kidnap the emir. Unfortunately, though, another fatal mishap occurred, and Talaal el-Khatib was accidentally killed by Ferdous' right-hand man, Asghar ibn Asghar. After this latest disaster, Vahid al-Jabara's vizier, Haanifa al-Burki, organized the removal and quiet death of Ferdous. Behrouz al-Jabara became sheikh subsequently.[1]
