Deathtouched is a racial category akin to Planetouched that is used to collectively refer to races who bear the influence of the undead in their ancestry. Officially, these consist of five races; the half-vampire (Dhampir), the half-ghost (Fetch), the half-zombie (Ghedan), the half-ghoul (Ghul), and the Mortif, the descendant of one of the "half-dead" races.

The term Deathtouched has never appeared in official Ravenloft media. It was introduced to the greater D&D lexicon in the article "Born of Death" for Dragon Magazine #313, for Dungeons & Dragons 3rd Edition. Whilst the dhampir had been introduced to Ravenloft in its 3rd edition revival, the article did not reference Ravenloft or the Demiplane of Dread in its content. It even names its half-vampire as the Khatane race instead.

The concept of Deathtouched as native Ravenloft races was explored in the netbook article A Primer to the Umbral Peoples in Quoth the Raven Issue 28.
