The Truth Seekers are the clergy of the Empyrean Church associated with the Empyrean Inquisition. In addition to evaluating potential witch activity when assigned to Inquisition divisions in the field, the Truth Seekers represent torturers and interrogators who extract confessions and other information from witches and heretics. Because they are clergy of the Church, Church doctrine technically proscribes the Truth Seekers from spilling blood. However, they have developed numerous ways of inflicting pain that does not involve the causation of (external) blood-letting.^[1]
