Cluster composed of Cavitius and Tovag.
As the cluster was centered around the struggle between Vecna and Kas, it's unclear if the cluster still exists since Vecna escaped Ravenloft.
Chronology
- (Oerth) "Thousands of years" ago, "or even longer" The Hand of Vecna and the Eye of Vecna are created.[1] A clash between Vecna and his traitors second-in-command, Kas. Both are apparently destroyed, leaving only the the two previously mentioned artifacts and the Sword of Kas behind. However, through the advancing centuries, veneration by various evil beings and cults allows the revival of Vecna as a demigod.[2][3]
- 732 BC- (Oerth, 581 CY)[4]: Vecna tries to become a greater god but fails and is driven from the Material Plane.[5] Unknown to Vecna, the actions of his avatar links him to the Demiplane of Dread.[3]
- 740 BC at the latest - The vampires Xaven and Kyrie are driven from Hazlan by Hazlik. The Mists will eventually deposit them in Cavitius a decade or more later.[6]
- 750 BC - Valuriss and her father flee Darkon shortly after the Requiem. The Mists eventually bring her to Cavitius, where Valuriss' father meets his demise at the city's undead.[8]
- 751 BC - By this year, the names of Vecna and Kas are known and fear throughout the Land of Mists.[9]
- 751 BC - Led by Vocar the Obedient, the Cult of Vecna in Tovag attempt to grant their deity a rebirth in the newborn child of Marit. However, adventurers thwart their attempt.[10]
751 BC - Verai and Corgar defeat one of Vecna's War Machines. Vecna unleashes his wrath upon them. Later that year, Carnival visits the Burning Peaks and Half-and-Half joins up.[11]
- 753 BC or Later: Iuz the Old and his minions invade Cavitius, falling into Vecna's trap. Vecna escapes Raveloft by absorbing the essence of Iuz and, in the process of becoming a greater god, uses the planar fabric of Ravenloft to burrow into Sigil. However, he is thwarted there once again.[12]
