Azalin (Chibiloft)

This individual is a Chi-Folken, created out of the Mists in the image of the human lich Azalin Rex, Darklord of Darkon. In contrast to the original, the Chi-Folken Azalin is the Demilord of Darkon province in the domain of Madego.

History pre-740

Between 644 BC and 740 BC, it is safe to assume that this version of Azalin moved in lockstep with the original, mimicking his every word and deed. On the Night of Music, when Lupta danced upon the sands of G'Henna province, Azalin was stirred to independent wakefulness for the first time. Feeling the power of the Spirits upon the land and unfamiliar passion rising from his very marrow, Azalin abandoned his work surrounding the Grand Conjunction and conjured great music from empty air. At least one of the Spirits came over the lich-king's undead servants where they shuffled and plodded, enabling them to dance.

History post-740

As the Great Calamity ground to a close, Azalin found himself in a world that had been transformed in ways both obvious and subtle. False history had been rewritten, uniting Madego's Core provinces in the Unholy Empire under Azalin's (nominal) rule. Madego's people and creatures were now free-willed and self-aware. The ancestral Spirits and the goddess Lupta were making inroads.

Azalin spent time he might otherwise have invested in the Grim Harvest in contemplation of inconsistensies in his personal history. Given the Chi-Folken method of reproduction, he might still create new offspring; why had he been obsessing over a son who had rebelled against him? He was startled fully out of his reveries around 749 BC when Borca, Dementlieu, Mordent and Richemulot provinces petitioned him to help them put a stop to the rogue nation of Falkovnia. Azalin accepted the request. The joint strike was launched in 750 BC and concluded in751 BC with the execution of the Chi-Folken version of Vlad Drakov, his male descendants and the Talons.
