I'm back!

("What, you were gone?" "Yeah, yeah, shaddup.")

As you may recall I moved at the end of August and as it turns out my new apartment wasn't quite as "internet-ready" as the landlord has advertised. Sorted out now (did half the damn work myself) so I'm back and ready to get back in action. Looks like I missed a helluva lot - Arcadius came back? LostVoices came back!?! (Welcome back!! :D ) Well, whoa. I'm gonna try and catch up on reading this stuff and make some posts ASAP.

* People are passing around a soul searcher, and no one's glanced at Draga with it yet. Might be nice to talk about his curse. Likewise, there's the ghost ship a little ways away.
This is a good point wrt Draga, but Peregrine can't ask--he doesn't know who Draga is. (Depending on Draga's position in the lifeboat and the degree to which the lifeboat is swamped, I'm not sure he even knows Draga is present...)

I expect Peregrine, being an observant fellow (c'mon, epic Spot check right? ) probably noticed that Cortez was not in the lifeboat alone when he arrived since Cortez probably would've been looking at Draga at least some of the time, not mention Peregrine would be able to pick up from the Captain's body language that he's keeping watch/guard over someone or something, rather than simply standing out in a half-swamped lifeboat for chuckles.

The ghost ship's a bit trickier; from what I remember it was completely invisible/ethereal and either Anders or Kinketsu or possibly both happened to spot it during some of their ethereal shenanigans. And I really don't think anyone's ever bothered to mention it to the Captain.

Holy cow! A player for every PC? Madness! (Actually, it sounds like a campaign promise. You should try it, Rafael - "Let me join your campaign, and I personally promise a chicken in every pot and a player for every PC!") Anyways, welcome aboard, Rafael, and have fun playing the doppleganger Anders.

LostVoices...are you there? Did you get my PM?

Matthias...are you there? Does Cortez have anything else to say to Invictus?

They don't have the right emoticon for this so <<hopeful smily>>

I'm here, but Cortez pretty much said his piece already. I gotta get a post up in the lifeboat, though, about that ghost ship. Just to make sure I have the timing right, the conversation in the lifeboat is occuring roughly two hours before where we are in the Umberlee's Belly thread, right?

I'm glad DS dug out that thread about the ghost ship so I could refresh my memory on that, though. Shadross started to ask about it, and then that whole thing just sort of got...dropped. Oops.

I'm just waiting for a response from LostVoices as to where Ciera is.

So, I am in! :D

I'll lurk a few days more, and then do my first post.

Are there any pictures of Anders? - Most of the Psionic pics I found so far are not of my liking...

I don't think there are any pictures of Anders, but here's the post Nightblade made to describe him:
...The voice that floated down to answer Ciera's musings is soon followed by a man slight of build and of rather medium stature.

He is dressed in the Eastern style, though adapted to his tastes. Loose-flowing pantaloons that come down to the ankle to glide over feet encased in boots that look like the lightest and supplest leather crafted and a tunic, though not as heavy a design as its Western, cold clime original, make the basic ensemble. This is covered by what is in the sleeveless style of a vest, but continues down his person, stopping at the ankles as well. Left open it sways in the effect of a cape or cloak; closed it gives the appearance of elaborate robes. Though it is of a midnight blue hue, with lighter blue tracings sown in this adapted cloak can be sworn to shimmer slightly. The boots and tunic are of an imperceptibly lighter shade from the adapted cloak and the pants even out the color with a matte black. Cinching the tunic to his waist is a plain rope belt of which are attached many pouches and other small carrying items. The man wears gloves, black, also of supple leather, to match his pants. At his head, negotiating through black and grey hair that isn't pulled back into a ponytail, is a small headband of pure crystal; at his neck, on a silver chain, hangs another crystal shaped almost like the circular lens of a magnyfying glass though naturally more ornate and earthlike due to its crystal status.

His frosty blue eyes take in everyone seated in the mess hall and he nods to Captain Lind, his cleanshaven face businesslike, neutral.
There was also a casting-call thread where we discussed what actor ought to play the various characters. Joaquin Phoenix was a popular choice for Anders, though Keanu Reeves was also mentioned, and DarkPowers suggested:
Anyway, 'bout time we looked closer at Anders:

Before upgrade: Keenan Wayans.
After upgrade: Wesley Snipes.
Which always amused me with the mental image of Keenan Wayans suddenly turning into Wesley Snipes in the middle of a battle with a vampire. :D

LOL!

I just googled *psion*, and this was the image I got!

Image

Now, while this looks certainly interesting, I think Anders should indeed look somewhat like Keanu Reeves in *Little Buddha*. though not as baby-faced...

(I think what's happened is that Lord de Casteelle failed a Madness check while communicating with Tessius, who failed one while in contact with the unlamented Bluebeard, and then de Casteelle communicated with his simalacrum--the "snowman"--who prompted failed a madness check, and now, every time de Casteelle and the snowman contact each other they get crazier and crazier...)
