The Citadel was the former administrative center of Baron Bakholis. However, since his demise it is now the guardhouse of Karina.[1][2] As of the time of Gazetteer IV, Malocchio Aderre is back to using it as an administrative center again, though he retains a jailhouse and a tower for the torture of prisoners there. The warden of said prison is the corrupt Captain Johannes van Deusen.[3]
Manfred Taige was Chief Steward to Bakholis. He was killed in the fire at The Citadel and now haunts the guardhouse as a ghost.[1][2]
