Ste. Mere des Larmes ("Sainted Mother of Tears" was an abandoned cathedral dedicated to Ezra that was discovered in that Port-a-Lucine and that in fact predated the known foundation of the Church of Ezra itself. In 709 BC, Warden Secousse would set down on paper the revelations that she received from her study of the cathedral, subsequently known as the Third Book of Ezra, and a new sect of the Church of Ezra was well on its way to being born.[1]

Bastion Secousse has declined to repair most of the cathedral because it stands as representation of the ancient history of the Church of Ezra.[2]
