A holiday celebrated in Sithicus on July 12, Prophecy Day is the Sithican equivalent to the Singing Tree Day of Kartakass. Many of Prophecy Day's traditions parallel those of Singing Tree Day, with cider used instead of meekulbrau. Prophecy Day's equivalent to the Singing Tree is the Prophet Tree. As the ceremonies wrap up, a volunteer is secured to the Prophet Tree via chains and charged with delivering the tree's prophecy in song. The prophecy if of good omen manifests with a beautiful and soothing tune, but if of ill omen manifests as a gloomy and regretful lament similar to when Lord Soth closed the borders of Sithicus. The singer cannot cease singing until the complete prophecy is made, which may lead to madness in the singer if the prophecy is a dirge. Volunteering for the singer role is seen as a heroic act regardless of the nature of the prophecy[1]
