Lady Helen Ramsay was, like her husband Dr. Blake Ramsay, a Mordentish noble who moved to the Isle at her husband's behest. After settling on the Isle, she bore him several children children, a daughter named Liza Ramsay, and two sons, Gregory Ramsay (a hunchback with oozing sores), and Blake Ramsay, Jr. ("feebleminded"). Blake's main purpose for siring children was to create a suitable heir to his research into the medical and forbidden sciences. Dr. Ramsay considered his two sons ineligible to carry on his work. Dr. Ramsay decided to pour all of his attention on Liza as his rightful heir and hatefully pushed away the rest of his family.[1] In the absence of her husband's love, Lady Helen Rammsay poured her passions into her gardening. The Topiary Griffon held her devotion and grief and became one of the last few vestiges of Good on the Isle.[2]
Several years after settling the Isle, fate took a turn for the worst. The wind took Liza and threw her off the cliffs of the Isle onto the jagged rocks below, killing her. In his mad attempt to save her, Dr. Ramasy murdered his wife and their two sons, such that he would have body parts for restoring Liza to life, at least as a dread flesh golem.[1]
Like her sons, Lady Ramsay lingers on to torment the now unaging Dr. Ramsay for all eternity.[1] Her Portal Mastery ability allows her control over the doors of the Ramsay Manor.[3]
