Hindel Lockwood

Hindel Lockwood is one of the Lockwood Family who live on as ghostly inhabitants of Lockwood Manor When he was alive, Hindel was a soldier called to serve in Baron Earonshire's army against the [[invader]s sent by a neighboring baron. He went against his will because his wife Isabella Lockwood was with child. Later, news of Isabella's life being threatened with a difficult labor reached Hindel's ears, and he deserted his post to return to her. In his rush throughout the night, he became too tired to go on and passed out inside a barn close to home. During his rest, the battle spilled out onto the lands surrounding the Lockwood Manor. Hindel was prevented from making it to Isabella and wounded by a soldier. As the battle seemingly moved away, Isabella came out looking for him, only to be trampled by the passing horses of the invaders. Hindel saw her death, just in time for Angelique Lockwood to murder him in his greatest moment of agony.

As a ghost, Hindel guards the family crypts with a retinue of six ghostly soldiers at his service.
