The Eye of Toldun (a name given to him by Appissa was the priest and prophet of the imprisoned yuan-ti "goddess" Appissa. Appissa had been locked in eternal slumber until the Eye discovered the Shrine of the Eye. In return for his service, Appissa gave the Eye the power of prophecy and eventually a magic potion that would allow him to take whomever he wanted for a bride. He found the potion in a hidden nook within the Shrine's altar. Inside the nook he also found the Bone Knife of Appissa, but she forbade him from taking it. The Eye returned to the village and took Dillura Ogfenhauer, daughter of Lord Pallignay Ogfenhauer, as his bride. Later, Dillura would give birth to their child, Benada Nameless, whom Dillura despised for the child's unnatural eye colors. At Dillura's insistence, the parents abandoned Benada, leaving Dillura's bother Ekkim Ogfenhauer all the responsibility of raising her.[1]

Many years later, Benada would get her revenge upon her parents for abandoning her. In the Shrine of the Eye, she ambushed and slew both Dillura and the Eye.[2] In death, the Eye still lingers on in his worship of Appissa despite their inability to communicate with each other. He is now a Third Magnitude Ghost, but he must obey the commands of Benada.[3]
