Eldgar Fionwick is a goblin hunter and researcher[1] working along the Tepest-Darkon border. He is a half-elf, son of a noted Tepestani ranger and a Darkonian elf. His heritage makes his work more difficult in xenophobic Tepest, but his family name (and hiding his ears) buys him a little leeway. Fionwick plans to publish a hunter's guide to goblinoids, but never seems to be quite done with the field research. The current draft of the manuscript for Fionwick's Comprehensive Field Guide to Goblins runs over 500 pages. Fionwick is an unofficial member of the Van Richten Society, having shared some of his notes on goblins with the Weathermay-Foxgrove twins when they were writing Van Richten's Guide to the Shadow Fey.[2]
