Dr. Alexander Penarrow

'Dr. Alexander Penarrow is a Mordentish adventurer, Mist Creature Hunter, scholar, explorer and Mist Navigator. Though he seems half his real age due to the many temporal distortions he has become exposed to, he also bears old scars and the mark of the Mist's influence: what were once brilliant blue eyes are now misty gray that nonetheless glimmer in moon light. He is by preference a loner since the demise of his brother, Drake Penarrow, but he serves as an ally and guide to the Weathermay-Foxgrove Twins.

Background

In his youth, Alexander explored the Mists and mapped many a mistway with his brother Drake. Unfortunately, an encounter with a dreaded scarlet storm left his brother dead and Alexander blinded, scarred, and lost. So befuddled, Alexander wandered the Mists for several months but seemed much longer. His eyesight was eventually restored by an Ezrite cleric, but his eyes underwent the above color change. This marked him as bound to the Mists, and he was now unable to remain apart from them for long. Although usually wandering alone, Dr. Penarrow made an exception when he met Laurie Weathermay-Foxgrove and Gennifer Weathermay-Foxgrove while in Tepest seek a way to destroy an evil fey.. He has since allied with them.

Current Sketch

Dr. Penarrow fears his brother may still exist as one of the undead wandering the Mists. Encountering undead sometimes reminds him of this and causes him to hesitate. If he discovers one of the Lost or the Fugued with a hope of being returned to their former selves, he makes all efforts to do so, employing his Hypnosis skill as needed.
