Dark is a minor character from the Ravenloft product line novel Baroness of Blood. Now deceased, Dark was a Kislovan rebel leader who, in the Kislovan Civil War, opposed the tyrannical rule of the Obour Family, specifically, Baron Janosk Obour. He was eventually captured. When deciding punishment, Baron Janosk consulted his daughter Ilsabet Obour. She recommended to force Dark to watch his rebel associates burn at the stake and then gouge out his eyes, remove his tongue. Dark was then abandoned on the Kislovan roads to serve as an example to other rebels.[1]

The above decision to let Dark live proved to be a costly mistake. Dark was saved from death by Chardin and taken to nearby nearby friendly rebels. In order to placate unrest and pay for the war, Baron Janosk led the Invasion of Sundell, a nearby wealthy barony. Previously neutral in the civil war of nearby Kislova, Sundell became forewarned of the invasion thanks to Dark, a Kislovan rebel that made it over the border thanks to the help of Chardin. The troops of Sundell, led by Baron Peto Casse, set a trap for the invading Kislovan army, driving them off. Baron Peto led his troops over the border and conquered Kislova, overtaking Nimbus Castle. Baron Janosk negotiated for the safety of his allies and the Obour Family in return for accepting execution.[2]

Dark was paid a handsome sum for his information and allowed to stay in Shadow Castle following Sundell's defeat of Kislova. However, he was later murdered by a vengeful Ilsabet Obour, whom first poisoned him with an extract of Cave Ant Chemical Secretion to cloud his mind and then lured him onto some slippery steps to where he fell to his death.
