Bones was a dog and the pet of an 8 year old boy. Together they were killed by wolves. The grieving parents had a priest raise the boy from the dead. Subsequently, Bones rose as a ghost (or more specifically, a ghost brute to protect its master forevermore. Bones' master grew up, and it continues watching over him to this very day. It has injured many people that has threatened to harm its master.[1]
