Anne-Marie Renier

Anne-Marie Renier was one of the Renier Family and a wererat. Pierre Spandeaux mistook her pity for love, but she laughed at his proposal for a romantic relationship and told him his disfigurement was publicly known. Her rejection motivated Pierre to craft the Mask of Sorrowful Beauty to win her affections. He was successful, but due to the effects of the Mask, he grew to reject her just as she had done to him. Bitter at his rejection of her, she ambushed him in an alleyway in her wererat form. However, another unknown power of the Mask, to force the wearer to assume a horrifying visage in the sight of wererats, kicked in and caused her to die from fright. Her death would lead Jacqueline Renier to send her minions to murder both Pierre and his mother Michelle Spandeaux.
