Some details of what ALhoon read upthread are subject to change, based on how NPCs decide to proceed and on random and planned events.

So even Alhoon has some surprises waiting for him... :lucas:

Sleep or no sleep, guys?

Your party has been up all night and into the morning (except Gertie took a nap) and spent much of that time adventuring or on the run.

Oh, and Gertie missed her fishing trip.

Sleep of course... We "earned" that at least. Starting a war is a tiresome business.

Speaking about me, I don't know who would agree:

I would prefer to experience the tensions part, even if it takes a week real time. See and brood over the consequences of our stupidity. Abduct a heiress on the word of a noble? What could go wrong with that?!

Never mind that, is subject to change:
VIEW CONTENT:
While both sides gear for war (and now I'm pretty sure the serpent conspiracy was NOT about getting Foeble to lead the city, but chaos and Aldron was a pawn \ dominated \ doppelganger-ed) I would like to see more about how things changed while we travel up and down the city to do what we can do...
Things were chill the first 4 chapters. People were chatty (except the thief-catchers in their urban unwelcoming fort), taverns were pretty vibrant, streets were mostly clear aside of us, a few muggers and a few semi-sentient rats, even the watch was chill.
This will change now probably. Just the " O_O He did WHAT?!" factor, the uncertainty etc would affect business.

Gertie is fishing as she had a nap, plus she wants to replenish some stuff and buy some stuff. Sleep is for the weak :P

Oh, I wasn't going to skip a week! Just the time it takes for you guys to sleep, eat, gear up and get a briefing on the developing/current situation.

The attempt at a rescue may take a night. It might take much longer. It might not work at all. Maybe Richard is already dead. Maybe he's not being held at Folbre's place, but is instead in some other location. Maybe Folbre does not have him at all. I won't give you spoilers on all this. Success or failure of PCs' actions is obviously not predetermined.
And what I do know cannot be revealed. That would take away the fun of play.

The faction war might erupt into bloody chaos in the streets while you sleep, or it might simmer.

So, don't worry, Alhoon, I'm not jetting so far ahead.

FYI, there will be some requirements imposed on the PCs before they leave the Watchouse.
But I will take into account Gertie's desire for fishing.

Alfonse will need sleep. Wizards gotta nap. But of course it is 100% Adam's call. His PC, his choice.

Alfonse nodding off in the interrogation room may have been a subtle, ooc addition.

And, you said get spell"s" back? That's adorable...unless we leveled and you just haven't told us.
"Of course," Benn mutters, "It would be a damned shame if we ever knew what the hell was actually going on."

Heh, I wasn't worried you would skip a week... I was just explaining mostly to the other players that I would prefer to experience the "fluff" of it too. Things some people don't necessarily like (some people that groan when I describe walls and pillars are related to me by blood in fact...)

Heh, no levelling yet.

:azalin:

But good RP on him nodding off. I noticed that at the time and smiled.

As you will see in the IC opener, I have done a small (and I hope acceptable to all players) bit of stage management in filling in DAMIEN and having him fill in TITUS.

We can assume that one of the PCs spoke briefly with DAMIEN before going down for a rest. This allows for the party to get back together.

So whenever everybody is ready, I can post the ''okay, you have all had eight hours' rest and eaten a bite, now..."
stuff.

Cool.
When I see such a post from every single player, I will advance to the end of the rest period.

Steve, they are not likely to just let Gertie go fishing. She's not under arrest, but neither is she just free to traipse about the city unescorted.

But if she makes a CHR check, Gubbio and a couple of watchmen will volunteer to go with her on a brief mission to acquire gear and/or intel.

A second CHR success could convince them that fishing would be in some way useful, perhaps as a way of gathering rumors of observing stuff that could be going on along the waterfront and out on the bay.
