Tatra was a beheader serving Strahd as of 348 BC. He executed the tax-evading Burgomeister of Renika at Strahd's orders.[1] Beyond his job as a executioner, he was also a soldier in the Barovian military under Strahd and Commander Alek Gwilym. For his extraordinary service, Commander Alek promoted him to the rank of Lieutenant.[2]
Tatra was one of the few of Strahd's men to survive the attacks of Leo Dilisnya and his men on the wedding day of Sergei von Zarovich. He was released from Strahd's service into the service of Victor Wachter and ordered to leave Castle Ravenloft. He was not witness to Strahd's depredations as a vampire on that occasion.[3]
Given how long ago he lived, he is most likely deceased.
