Singing Tree Day[1] is a Kartakan holiday celebrated upon July 12th where people from all over Kartakass come together outside of Skald and journey to the Singing Tree west of town. There everybody drinks meekulbern, chant relevant mora, and pray that music continues to sustain them. The Meistersinger of Skald evokes the name of Milil and the various forest spirits to heap fortune upon the ceremony.
Later, there is a mora singing contest, the winner of which gets to recite an improvised mora on the spot. It is thought that correctly interpreting said mora will bring portents on the weather and crop harvests in the next year.
A Sithican equivalent exists to Singing Tree Day; it is called Prophecy Day.
