Roadside Shrine of Ayanna Hazra

The Roadside Shrine of Ayanna Hazra was erected at the site where young Ayanna Hazra was killed by bandits. Whenever her body, possessions, or the arrows which killed her were removed from the site, they would mysteriously reappear there the next morning. This miracle was taken as a sign that her spirit still watched over the place, and so the shrine was constructed.

Since then, travelers—particularly women and children—often stop at Ayanna's shrine to leave offerings and pray to her for protection on the road.
