A minor character from Death of a Darklord, Randwulf was an adventurer along with Silvanus Brillantine, Frederic Vladislav, and Averil Brillantine.[1], perhaps abnormally so.
Background
In the Land of Mists, Randwulf and his party were attacked by a pack of wolves led by Harkon Lukas in his dire wolf form. Silvanus was maimed, whereas Frederic and Randwulf were both killed. His party was rescued by Jonathan Ambrose and his associates.[2] Silvanus raised his companions from the dead.[2] However, later he found that he was cut off from his divine patron in the Land of Mists, and his powers of healing became diminished as the land of Kartakass resisted him. He called upon Elaine Clairn to use her unique magical powers to heal his party, and he mentored her in how to perform magical healing.[3]
Randwulf proved unpleasantly flirtatious towards Elaine Clairn during his treatment, assuming she was a camp follower and attempted to press his suit until he was chastised verbally by Silvanus, then presented with some minor physical pain and a threat by Elaine.
Randwulf and his party went with Jonathan Ambrose, Elaine Clairn, and the Brotherhood of Broken Blades to Cortton, where they hoped to suppress the Zombie Plague of Cortton.[4] There, zombies injured Averil, and she became infected with a fever. The fever proved lethal, as Silvanus found himself unable to cure her affliction.[5] Elaine attempted to resurrect Averil, but the attempt only made her a screaming abomination of flesh. Just as quickly, Averil and Fredric euthanized Averil. Things turned even worse when Silvanus, Fredric, and Randwulf discovered their flesh had been warped by Elaine's healing, as their bodies now sported several aberrant growths. The trio hastily maimed their bodies once again trying to take off the warped appendages.[6] They may have been killed by Tereza Ambrose, who had succumbed to fever nearby and rose as a zombie.[7]
