Raggedy Jack, or Jack MacGreggor as he went by in life, was a Tepestani farmer of great skill rivaled only by Fincher Blackstock. Blackstock eventually beat his rival to a bloody pulp and left MacGreggor to die tied to his scarecrow. However, MacGreggor rose again as a dread scarecrow,determined to bring ruin to his murderer. Raggedy Jack first caused Blackstock economic ruin by scaring profuse amounts of rats and mice onto Blackstock's farm. When Blackstock returned to the site of Jack's murder to apologize, Raggedy Jack accepted it before breaking Blacstock's neck. Now it is said that Jack remains to make sure that the farmers nearby treat each other well.[1]
