Olaf is one of the residents of the village of Vorostokov; he is a brother of Vladislav the Trapper. Their other two brothers were murdered by Gregor Zolnik. Olaf knows neither of Vladislav's lycanthropic thralldom to Gregor nor of Vladislav's fear that Gregor will kill Olaf. Consequently, Olaf doesn't comprehend why Vladislav works for Zolnik.[1]
In Dark of the Moon
If Olaf hears of an attack on Gregor and the Boyarsky, Olaf insists on going along. Although relatively weak (a 0-Level Character)[1]
and thus a likely liability in combat, Olaf's presence can help get the player characters past the Stockade and into the Boyar's Hall.[2] In addition, having Olaf with them might enable charismatic PCs to convince Vladislav to join them against the Boyar.[3]
