The founder of the Bearers of the Endless Torch. Nadia Cormick was born in Glenmurron, but while she was still young her family was driven out of Glenmurron when it was destroyed by Banemaw. She grew up in the District of the Dispossessed. For a while she joined the Shining Youth, hoping to be able to improve the situation of refugees living in poverty. However, she grew dissatisfied as she realized that the Shining Youth were reinforcing the societal ills of Nidala rather than addressing them. After leaving the Shining Youth, she quietly started her own movement, which she called the Bearers of the Endless Torch.[1]
