Kurtepeta is a village in central Sri Raji. It was founded by its namesake, Jaidev Matra, as a waystation at the crossroads where the Jangal Sadak, Moksha Sadak, and Pragya Sadak all meet. Given that the crossroads stand midway between Pakat and Tvashtipur and along one of the roads to Muladi, Matra rapidly grew from a waystation to a village.[1]
