Erak

Erak is a major character from the 4th Edition era novel the Mark of Nerath. He is a revenant that was reanimated by and serves the Raven Queen. Although he was an amnesiac, Erak felt bits and pieces of his former life and was guided as to the mission he needed to accomplish. Erak and a band of adventurers prevented Magroth's sacrifice of Falon in order to reanimate a legion of undead. When he struck down Magroth, Erak remembered his former past life as Krondor, the brother of Kalaban and a member of Magroth's Imperial Guard some five centuries earlier. Because Magroth's depravity became too great, Krondor betrayed Magroth and murdered him, only to be struck down by Kalaban in return. Erak was only able to kill Magroth using powers gained through a favor from the Raven Queen, a favor the Raven Queen asked him to repay in service to her as a revenant.
