Katyayani is an outlander priestess of Kali who has been drawn into Sri Raji. She worships her goddess in her benevolent aspect, and naturally she is appalled by the way Rajians recognize only Kali's violent aspect. Because she insists upon spreading the gentler teachings of Kali, she has earned the enmity of the Dark Sisters.[1]
