Jethro (family name redacted from the official histories) was the reigning president of the domain Conquista in 740 BC. He was a member of the Casian tribe, a represenative of the political party Supremacía, and had been elected after Leroy Foxskinner, with presumably four presidents in between, making him the eighth president. At some point during his reign, he published his autobiography, El Corazón de un Rey.

When the Wartorn Cluster took form and Conquista suddenly found itself neighbouring other domains, President Jethro hesitated as to which course of action might best benefit his country, or which political party's bribes were most appealing when it came to deciding on his policy.

President Jethro was still in power when Vieuxlyons invaded Conquista in 741 BC, and declared a national state of emergency, directing los Hombres Valientes to defend the nation. When the Vieuxlyese troops destroyed Alsem and the citizens of Meyersville turned their city into a giant boobytrap, President Jethro made the catastrophic mistake of commanding all troops to defend the northern capitol of Hughsrest, sacrificing the middle cantón.

After the Vieuxlyese troops were routed and the war was over, President Jethro expected to be hailed as a hero for having 'saved' Conquista's oldest and 'greatest' city. Instead, he was spat upon by the people of both cantón's for having abandoned his subjects' homes to protect his own and having directed los Hombres Valientes for his own defense instead of the nation's. President Jethro tried to regain the backing of Supremacía by demanding that the people of the middle cantón turn over captured Vieuxlyese war machines - only to find out too late that these had been destroyed during victory celebrations. Next, he tried to strengthen his own position by blaming all the nation's suffering on the Canan tribe, and even held a speech during which he announced upcoming accusations of grand treason and mass executions.

President Jethro is best known today for being the first Conquistan president to have made himself so thoroughly objectionable that the government offices, the political parties and los Hombres Valientes all agreed that he was a threat to national security. He was seized at his residence by his own Hombre Valiente bodyguards in 742 BC, dragged outside, forced to his knees and shot in the head while he begged for his life. Not a single person spoke out in his defense.

Jethro was succeeded as president by James Johsson.
